One Direction Return From Trip To Ghana, Africa
The world’s biggest boyband, One Direction have returned from a trip to Ghana in Africa. One Direction flew to Ghana on a fact-finding mission and to film for this year’s Comic Relief (Red Nose Day) during Zayn’s birthday. Their trip saw them visit some of the people and areas helped by the funds raised by Comic Relief and film segments to accompany their song and to appear during the Red Nose Day broadcast on March 15.
The band who were formed on the UK Xfactor show have also confirmed that they are recording a cover of Blondie’s One Way or Another as this year’s Red Nose Day charity single. According to singer Harry Styles, “We have grown up with Comic Relief and taken part in lots of Red Nose Days at school so we were thrilled to be asked to do this year’s Red Nose Day single.
“It’s such an honour for us. We can’t wait to perform our version of this iconic pop song and raise as much money as possible for this incredibly important cause that is really close to our hearts.” In a reply to a Twitter follower, Niall Horan @NiallOfficial said about Ghana “We all are the most selfish people ever! U would not believe that country!”
Zayn Malik added, “At school Red Nose Day was a big deal! Me and my friends used to really look forward to it – I remember one year we all came in in our pyjamas which was pretty cool!”
